Terms of Service

Last updated: August 14, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RestPaid (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

RestPaid sends invoice payment reminders on your behalf, tracks invoice status, and — when you connect a payment provider — facilitates payments directly between you and your clients. RestPaid is a communications and bookkeeping tool: it is not a collection agency, a law firm, or a party to your contracts.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoices you enter, for having a genuine business relationship with the clients you email through the Service, and for the contents of your reminder templates. You may not use the Service to send unsolicited email, to harass, or to demand amounts you are not owed.

3. Late fees

The late-fee feature calculates amounts based on rates you configure. You confirm, when enabling it, that your contract or invoice terms entitle you to those fees. RestPaid does not create a legal right to late fees and provides no legal advice.

4. Payments

Payments between you and your clients flow through the payment links and instructions you attach to invoices; RestPaid never holds or processes your funds. Subscriptions to the Service are sold by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, under Paddle's own terms. You can cancel anytime; paid periods are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Data

Your data remains yours. We use it only to operate the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your invoice data or ask us to delete your account at any time.

6. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is." We work hard to send every reminder on schedule but do not guarantee delivery, payment outcomes, or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms (for example, using the Service for spam). We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the Service.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
